අඳුර මැදින් එළිය ගලනවා
කඳුළු මැදින් සිනහ නගන දා
අත හරින්න එපා පුතේ .. දාලා යන්න එපා පුතේ ..
බැගෑ සිතින් මොර ගසනා නුඹව ඇහෙනවා
ළං මට යාච්ඥාවෙහි කතා කරනවා
වෙන්වි ඔබ ඉන්නා තුරා දුකින් හඩනවා

The day you smile through your tears, light will shine through the  darkness.
Son, do not give up, do not go away.
I can hear your humble pleading,
Get close to me in prayer and talk to me
But if you keep away from me, I weep in sorrow
Alone I climbed the mount in search of the Father,
You are up before daybreak, but you remain silent,
Don't just stand by the wayside,
but steadfastly climb the mount in search of the Father,
And you will wear the crown of the cross and reach the shore
